​Literacy​

To start off this half term we will be looking at the story "Stone Age Boy" this will link into our topic sessions.

​​We will be concentrating on our punctuation and sentence structure as well as writing, speech, instructions and diaries relating to this book.

 
Our class text for the term is "Charlotte's Web". We will be discussing persuasive techniques, character profiles and much more. I am very excited to use this book as it will be their first full class text!

This half term we will be looking at partitioning using place value, column addition with carrying and column subtraction with exchanging.

The expectation at the end of year 3 is that children will know their 3,4 and 8 times table, as well as their 2, 5 and 10 learnt in year 2.

Our topic this half term is the Stone Age.
We will be finding out about what life was like, their tools, houses and how the time periods differ.
