| We are currently looking at place value, addition and subtraction in Numeracy. In Year 4, the children are required to sit a times tables check in the summer term. The purpose of this check: 'is to determine whether pupils can fluently recall their times tables up to 12, which is essential for future success in mathematics. It will also help your child’s school to identify pupils who may need additional support.' Below is a link to information provided by the testing standards agency about the check. Parent information about the time table check.
At Weston Point, we encourage the children to access TTrockstars as frequently as possible. It provides an interactive platform where the children can improve their accuracy and speed when reaclling their times tables.
